With over 25 years as an ultra-endurance athlete, I’ve competed in marathons, ultramarathons, long-distance triathlons, and the Hawaii Ironman. Starting at age 44, I shifted focus to ultra-distance cycling—riding over 20,000 miles and racing across the United States three times.
The height of my racing career has come during midlife. Through hormonal shifts, the physical and emotional impact of breast cancer, and a body that’s constantly evolving, I’ve discovered that endurance sport isn’t just about speed or strength—it’s about adaptability, presence, and purpose.
